MuzDo ("we", "our", "us") is an Islamic productivity application designed to help Muslims balance their spiritual practices with daily tasks. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
How MuzDo Works
- ✓ App works fully offline for most features
- ✓ No account required for basic functionality
- ✓ Some usage data is collected to improve the app
- ✓ Premium features require account and enable full cloud sync
2. Data We Collect
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
- Prayer Times & Completions - Track your 5 daily prayers
- Tasks & Schedule - Manage daily tasks and meetings
- App Preferences - Calculation method, theme settings
Data Sent to Our Servers (All Users)
- Device Identifier - Anonymous ID to track app usage
- Dhikr Progress - Which dhikr you complete and when (to provide personalized content)
- Daily Challenge Progress - Challenge completion and points earned
- Practice Level - Your selected practice level (beginner/intermediate/advanced)
Location Data
We use your location only to calculate accurate prayer times. This calculation happens on your device and location data is never sent to our servers.
3. How We Use Your Data
Why We Collect Data
- Dhikr Progress Tracking - To provide personalized dhikr content based on your practice level and completion history
- Daily Challenges - To track your progress and award points for gamification features
- App Improvement - Anonymous usage statistics help us understand which features are most valuable
- Premium Features - Voice transcription, cloud sync, and cross-device functionality require backend storage
What We Do NOT Do
- ✗ We never sell your data to third parties

- ✗ We never track you across other apps or websites

Premium User Features
Premium users with accounts get additional features:
- ✓ Cloud sync of tasks, folders, and custom dhikr across devices
- ✓ Voice note transcription and AI-generated meeting notes
- ✓ Encrypted data storage (in transit & at rest)
- ✓ Cloud backup of voice recordings

Security Measures
- ✓ Encryption in Transit: All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS
- ✓ Encryption at Rest: Cloud data encrypted on servers
- ✓ Authentication: Secure JWT tokens in iOS Keychain
- ✓ No Password Storage: Subscription via Apple
5. Third-Party Services
What We Use:
✓ Apple App Store & StoreKit - For subscription management
What We DON'T Use:
- ✗ No advertising networks
- ✗ No analytics trackers (Google Analytics, etc.)
- ✗ No social media SDKs
- ✗ No data brokers

- View Your Data - All data visible in the app
- Edit Your Data - Edit anytime in the app
- Delete All Data - Settings → Delete All Data

- Disable Cloud Sync - Toggle in Settings (Premium only)
